Before continuing then please note that detals on my older news pages may be inaccurate due to the age of these older news pages when they are only storage for reference purposes. Well maybe for a "day in the life of a satellite reception equipment supplier" as well, but that I doubt is of much interest unless you want to write a book about it.

I can say that my business history has been somewhat more "colourful" that what I would have desired, but I guess this is partly to do with the market, partly to do with myself being a colourful character, and as you will soon see I just cannot stop writing endless pages of text.

Before this time I used to sell wafer cards and later programmers on a site called the European Satellite Guide, but unfortunately at the end of May 2000 that site had to close, where this new site opened just over three months later.

I (Cardman) began selling wafer cards on the European Satellite Guide in March 1998, but my first card was actually sold in February 1998 after I had decided to proceed with selling cards.

However the idea for Cardman first came about in December 1997, when I became very annoyed at the poor suppliers around, where back then one former customer decided to show them how a non-commercial business works and to protect other customers from poor suppliers.

Since my service have proved extremely popular over the years, then over all this time I have turned an initial £100 investment into what you see here today. And you can rest assumed that in years from now my sites then will be ten times larger than this one and all of ten times better as well.

Cardman [May 2002].
